Berger Paints (Malta) Ltd.

Berger was born in 1760 and is now 247 years old. Not many companies can boast of such a heritage. It is a heritage to be proud of for the history of Berger parallels the history of the industrialised world. Berger is today one of the oldest names in paints and coatings industry.

Berger Paints (Malta) Ltd. was founded in 1981, operating from the southernmost tip of the Europe being the central of the Mediterranean Sea, Berger products are exported to various countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

At Berger Malta we give great importance to building close relationships with our customers and suppliers. Consistency of product quality that meets the client's expectations is always of high priority to the company. We work intensely to make it as easy as possible for customers to achieve excellent results, when using our products. We strive to keep our paint systems easy and simple whilst providing the right paint system for the job.

In the Decorative and Architectural sector our paints are used by leading contractors, craftsmen, and homeowners to complete and decorate homes, offices and buildings, large and small. Our products can be found on:

  • Airport Terminals and other transport hubs
  • Residential houses and apartments

The product range includes Interior and Exterior Emulsions, Alkyd Enamels and varnishes for wood and metal surfaces, waterproofing products, Tennis Court and Floor coatings for both the building industry and consumer market. The range also includes Graffiato and other weather resistant textured finishes.

Berger Malta has always been a pioneer in the introduction of innovative coating solutions which address typical problems encountered in Mediterranean buildings. Our Berger Flexible Roof Compound was the first waterproofing paint solution on the market which offered a simple and effective solution to leaking flat roofs. However, the continuous product development process employed by Berger has also led to the introduction of CoolRoofs, an innovative coating which reflects heat and keeps buildings cool in summer and dry in winter.

Berger is also very active in the Protective and Marine Coatings where heavy-duty coatings designed to protect steel and concrete from the corrosive effects of harsh climates, pollution, sea spray, acids, oils and solvents. Berger Protective coatings are formulated with the latest chemical expertise combined with an insiders understanding of project requirements.

Berger protective coatings are tested to ensure they provide the durability and performance in climates they must withstand, such as humidity, heat and extremely cold climates. Berger Protective coatings are specified for new construction and repairs of infrastructure and industry. Areas where these coatings have been applied are:
